I’ve been thinking lately about being more deliberate in seeing some of the awesome spots right around us here in Washington. And I realized that in over 40 years living in the Puget Sound area, I had never gone to see the Skagit Valley tulips!
On Sunday we remedied that by visiting the awesome RoozenGaarde tulip fields. Sunday was beautiful, and the crowds were huge – but it was totally worth it.

Last weekend we took a day trip up to Whidbey Island. The kids loved this beach below the towering bridge.
We also stopped off at Fort Casey – lots of great photo opportunities there.
